This CJTC Firearm Addition Course allows you to add an additional handgun to your armed security license—legally and professionally.

Course Requirements

To enroll, you must:

  •  Have a current Armed Security Guard License

  • Be at least 21 years old

  •  Bring the firearm you want to add

  • Be legally able to possess that firearm

  • Provide valid ID

  • Completion of this course does not automatically update your armed security license. You must submit the required firearm addition paperwork to the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC) and/or Department of Licensing (DOL) to have the new firearm officially added to your license.

  • You must hold a current, valid Armed Security Guard License or be within the official renewal/grace period to qualify for this course. Proof may be required.

  • You are responsible for ensuring you meet all legal requirements to possess and carry the firearm you bring for qualification.

  • The firearm you bring must match the exact make, model, and caliber you want listed on your license. Substitutions or unapproved equipment may result in disqualification without refund.

  • All course fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in our cancellation policy.

  • Students must successfully complete the live-fire qualification to receive the firearm addition certificate.

  • Blueridge Advance Solutions reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any class due to range availability, safety concerns, weather conditions, instructor availability, or low enrollment. In such cases, students will be offered rescheduling or credit options.

  • By attending this course, you agree to follow all range safety rules, instructor commands, and professional conduct standards. Failure to do so may result in immediate removal from training without refund.
