Cancellation & Refund Policy

Overview

For the purposes of this policy, the term “Company” refers to Blue Ridge Advanced Shooting Solutions LLC, including its owners, agents, and authorized representatives. The term “Instructor” refers to any individual employed, contracted, or authorized by the Company to conduct, supervise, or facilitate firearms training courses.

All registrations for firearms courses are subject to this Cancellation & Refund Policy. By registering for any course, the student agrees to these terms. Our courses are safety-first, instructor-led events; attendance requires that students arrive prepared with the required gear and completed paperwork.

48-Hour Minimum for Refunds

To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled course start time. Cancellations submitted less than 48 hours before the class are not eligible for a refund, except in limited cases described within this policy. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the company’s designated contact email or phone number and must include the student’s full name, course title, and scheduled date. Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days after approval and issued to the original payment method. Processing fees, if applicable, will be deducted from the refund.

Rescheduling

Students may request to reschedule their training date at any time, subject to seat availability. Requests made less than 48 hours prior to the course may be granted at the company’s discretion and could incur a rescheduling fee. Students who fail to appear for their scheduled class without prior notice or reschedule request will forfeit their course fee and be considered a “no-show.”

Required Equipment and Preparedness

All participants must arrive with the required gear and equipment in proper working condition. This typically includes a valid photo ID, eye and ear protection, a reliable holster, closed-toe footwear, appropriate clothing, approved firearm(s), necessary ammunition, and any required course paperwork or liability waivers. Students who arrive without the required items will be deemed unprepared for training. The instructor has full discretion to determine if a student’s gear is safe and adequate. If a student is unprepared or lacks mandatory equipment, they may be removed from the class. In such cases, the instructor may allow a reschedule if possible, but the company is under no obligation to issue a refund. Equipment rentals, if available, may be used to meet gear requirements but must be arranged in advance and are subject to additional rental fees.

Instructor Authority

Instructors maintain full authority to remove any participant who is deemed unsafe, unprepared, or unable to follow instructions. Instructor decisions regarding student readiness, safety, and participation are final. If a student is removed from class due to unpreparedness, unsafe behavior, or lack of required gear, refunds will not be issued, and participation in future courses will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Safety and Conduct

Safety is our highest priority. Any participant who violates safety rules, fails to follow instructor commands, or displays disruptive, aggressive, or impaired behavior will be immediately dismissed from training. Students suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance impairing judgment will be refused entry. Removal due to conduct or safety violations results in no refund. Future enrollment will be at the company’s discretion.

Medical Emergencies and Exceptions

Refunds or rescheduling exceptions may be considered for documented medical emergencies or other verified serious circumstances, such as a death in the family. Requests must include appropriate documentation (e.g., doctor’s note, hospital admission, or obituary notice) and be submitted within a reasonable time after the missed class. These cases are reviewed individually, and decisions are made at the company’s discretion.

Liability, Waivers, and Prerequisites

All participants must complete and sign required liability waivers and any prerequisite certifications before participating in any firearms training. Failure to provide the necessary documentation may result in denial of entry or removal from class without refund. Certain advanced courses require specific experience levels or prior certifications; students who fail to meet prerequisites will not be permitted to continue and will forfeit their course fees.

Company Cancellations and Changes

If the company cancels a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness, range closure, severe weather, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, students will have the option to receive a full refund or transfer to another available course date. In the event of extreme weather, natural disasters, or other force majeure conditions that create unsafe or impractical training environments, classes may be postponed or canceled for safety reasons. Participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered the choice of a full refund or transfer to a rescheduled session.

If a course must be ended early due to sudden hazardous conditions, partial refunds may be issued at the company’s discretion based on the amount of course time completed. The company is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other personal expenses incurred as a result of class cancellations, schedule changes, or postponements. If the start time or location changes with less than 48 hours’ notice, students may choose to accept the change or receive a full refund.
